Another very enjoyable evening, this time with past and present parish priests, both serious walkers, Fr Bernard, 'visiting', and Fr Pat. Fr Bernard has an extra qualification in being an expert at 'walking backwards'. Because the last morning Mass on Sundays left no time for him to come at the beginning of the walk he often arrived at the end and made his way over the route in reverse, with the children running to greet him when he appeared on the horizon. The evening was organised again by Peter Hampson and the meal was as usual excellent. |
