ActivitiesHELPERS
These people do not necessarily belong to a group but do a variety of essential jobs which help to keep the parish centre running smoothly, from flower-arranging to putting out chairs and tables, serving Sunday breakfasts and other refreshments throughout the week.... Extra volunteers are welcome and often vital!TODDLER GROUP
For parents to chat and babies to play with the centre toys one afternoon each week
Activities: - Summer outings, coffee afternoons in school holidays. Christmas party.PRE-SCHOOL PLAYGROUP

Link group between Years 6 and 7 (Junior/Secondary). Meets in the Parish Centre or in schoolGAMES AFTERNOON
LADIES GROUP
One day a week. Games include snooker, darts, table tennis, scrabble and any other activity acceptable to the management.
A friendly group of ladies of all ages who have fortnightly meetings with speakers on varied topics, social evenings,
theatre visits, dining out etc. All ladies are most welcome.PARISH WALKS
Walks on one Sunday in each month, except January and July. Open to all.
Recommended minimum age - 7 years. Walks are usually easy and about 7 miles in length.
Photo albums of walks, mostly in the Lake District and Yorkshire, and of the annual dinner,
are a feature of the Walks, at present updated within a week of each walk, and with those from the previous 12 months still available.PARISH LUNCH 2005

Do pay them a visit - you'll enjoy it. Scouts, Cubs and Beavers are all catered for and they welcome news, views and contributions.

(13 to 18 years old) The group discusses a wide range of topics and acquires listening skills.
Activities include quiz nights, indoor hockey, 10-pin bowling, treasure hunts, organised trips etc.IMPACT GROUP
Among their activities in recent years they have:
- hosted a two-day conference for 55 young people from Manchester, Horwich, Brownedge and Preston, at Our Lady's High School at the end of January 2000 with the support of the Faith and Justice Commission and CAFOD North West. A full day on the Sunday included workshops with a great variety of activities from discussions to art, music, dance and drama.
- visited the parish of St Patrick's, Hudson, Wisconsin in 2001
- welcomed 26 young people from St Patrick's visited our parish for two weeks in 2002

200 CLUB
A fund raising organisation for the Parish. Tickets are 5 annually.OTHER ACTIVITIES HELD IN THE PARISH CENTRE
- PRESTON WHEELERS An organisation for cyclists in the Parish Centre one evening a week
- PLAY GROUP For children 2 years to school age. It is approved by the Social Services and employs qualified people. Meetings in the Parish Centre three times a week.
- TOWNSWOMEN'S GUILD Guild members meet in the Parish Centre Hall for music and movement.
