The Gospel

The Bishop arrives to begin the Mass.

The psalm
Send forth your Spirit, O Lord,
and renew the face of the earth
The candidates for confirmation renew their baptismal promises
The Bishop explained the use of the oil of chrism,
brought from the Cathedral on Maundy Thursday		 '...be sealed with the gift of the Holy Spirit...'
After anointing them the Bishop chatted
briefly with each candidate
